Staci Austin is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Rory and Sully. Rory and Sully is committed to serving “the least among us” as Jesus encouraged us to do.
Staci is a mother (Rory And Sully 26, Collin 21 and Landon 13), a Realtor, and has accepted God’s calling on her life to care for those who cannot care for themselves, along with those who need help when they don’t know where to turn to.
Every experience in life prepares us for something else. We don’t have the luxury of knowing what we are being prepared for, but Staci has owned and directed Child Care Centers, and she has been a foster parent. Her grandparents were Mennonites. They taught her how to farm, make preserves, and many other skills too innumerable to list. Little did she know how those skills would come to play out in her life today.
The orphanage is the first initiative of the ministry, but Staci has plans to open a refuge for women who have been subjected to domestic abuse as well. The laws in Kenya currently reflect that if a woman leaves an abusive relationship, the children remain with the man, creating an unsafe environment for the children. Because of the unfavorable laws against women, this causes women to stay in unhealthy relationships out of fear for their children. Staci’s future site will offer safety, security and healing for the survivors of domestic abuse. She hopes that the laws in Kenya will eventually change. Staci is a survivor of domestic abuse herself, so this endeavor is close to her heart to help others in similar situations.
While Rory and Sully is solely in Kenya as of the present, her plan is to take it worldwide to anywhere there is a need.
